The Natural Step Sustainability Framework is Net Impact Orlando's official sustainability framework because it is based in strong, verifiable science, is intuitive and connects with businesses and all people worldwide.  As importantly, The Natural Step is immediately actionable for enhancing purpose (vision and/or mission), developing strategy and making decisions.  The Natural Step is also the sustainability framework for companies leading the sustainability journey, e.g., Interface, Walmart, Nike, ICA/Electrolux, Scandic Hotels, Collins Pine Company, etc.  However, Net Impact Orlando supports use of any respected or credible sustainability framework used by its members and member companies. The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the leader in project management, including being accountable for many project management professional certifications, like the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.  PMI has just begun its sustainability journey.  With over 500,000 members and truly a global non-profit, PMI will have tremendous impact on sustainability action here in North America, but also around the world.
