Net Impact Orlando Events To Date

Note: The Net Impact Orlando team meets weekly, every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm in downtown Orlando, with the first hour focused on welcoming new members and visitors and working, followed by a half hour learning segment on a topic or issue related to sustainability.  We welcome all visitors at no cost with no commitment requirements.  Just come to learn more about us, but also learn about sustainability.

Several members of the Net Impact Orlando team attended one of the worldwide 350.org events.  Eco Factory, a social news network aimed at people who want to learn and contribute to social and environmental change, hosted a 350.org event at the Orlando Brewery.  The Orlando Brewery is a green business that brews local organic beers.

USGBC Central Florida's Green LEEDership Dinner

The USGBC Central Florida Chapter had its LEEDership Awards Dinner in October, 2000

It was a superb event with Ray Anderson, Chairman of Interface, Industrialist and "Sustainability Crusader" the keynote with a moving action - oriented remarks.The award winners were all enthusiastic about their teams accomplishments.

However, the dinner was remarkable also for the effort made by the USGBC Central Florida event team in supporting local growers, buying for the event locally and greening as many elements of the dinner event as possible.
