Several members of the Net Impact Orlando team attended one of the worldwide 350.org events.  Eco Factory, a social news network aimed at people who want to learn and contribute to social and environmental change, hosted a 350.org event at the Orlando Brewery.  The Orlando Brewery is a green business that brews local organic beers. At 3:50pm, Eco Factory sponsored 350 beers to the first 350 participants.  The beer was great and the discussions were even better, since some people were just getting introduced to why 350 parts per million of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere is a critical number per scientists globally. More than 350 parts per million of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere drives global warming.

Eco Factory was even able to get the Orlando, Michael Jackson Thriller Dancers to dance up and back from a huge chalking of 350 at 9pm with the rest of the world's Thriller Zombies.

Michael Jackson Thriller Dance (350.org)

  • 350.org events were held all over the world @ 3:50pm to highlight that 350 parts per million of carbon dioxide as the maximum scientists say the atmosphere can have to minimize climate change disruptions.
  • Thriller Zombie dance at 9pm all over the world to honor Michael Jackson.

In honor of this, Eco Factory and Orlando Brewing Co. got really creative. At 9pm the Thriller Dancers at the brewery danced up and back from a large 350 chalked across the pavement. Watch this fun video below!
