Several members of the Net Impact Orlando professional chapter attended the Florida Renewable Energy Expo at the Orlando Science Center to:

  • Give workshop presentations, specifically “The State of Charge” by Mark Thomason showing how electric vehicles are here and now and how recharging is being approached (rave reviews and standing room only audiences).  Video will be available of this compelling and positive presentation soon.
  • Share the Net Impact Orlando mission and recruit members for the Net Impact Orlando Impact at Work Program, while manning the Orange County Environmental Protection Division table.
  • Promote the Central Florida Energy Efficiency Alliance to decrease Central Florida energy use by 30% by 2012.
  • Connecting with building owners and managers to join the total Central Florida community challenge, the Kilowatt Crackdown Challenge, to improve energy efficiency of all CF buildings with free tools and training.
